I am a latecomer to the world of acrylic and oil painting, although not to the art world in general. I have been involved on the edges of art in my career as an interior design professional and interior design instructor at the University of Arkansas. My earlier forays into painting were unfortunately limited to my “spare time” and we all know those two words are almost non-existent for an employed wife and mother. After my retirement I became reacquainted with my old friend, the paintbrush, now my dear friend. Painting is a wonderful and joyous part of my life. I love color and all of nature’s glory. As an avid gardener, I love painting landscapes and as a beach lover, I paint seascapes. As a designer, I paint buildings. My hope is that all of my paintings will bring a smile to the viewer. I am a native Arkansan although lived for many years in several other states before moving to Fayetteville. Now my residence is divided between Fayetteville and Dauphin Island (which we discovered and fell in love with in 1967). My husband and I have two daughters and fabulous grandchildren. We travel, spend time at the beach, and delight in each day God grants us to live and love.
